One of our main contentions was and is, that the beach in front of Discovery Bay is only just big enough for the present number of guests, so were they intending to make a multi story beach ? We discussed the project with the MInister for Tourism Kerrie Symmonds and he confirmed that the build would be no higher than 4 stories rather than the applied for 6 or 7, and he also confirmed that the plans had not yet been approved, but that was in February. I filled in a very long questionnaire compiled by the Architects of the 'New Build ' The Hotel is intending to cross the road ( like Waves) because they own the Tennis Court area at the end of Jamestown Park and Sunwing are already being taken to court as they intend to renaigh on the Covenant that all Jamestown Park property owners have giving them the right to go through Discovery Bay to the beach !!
